Many would ask what the essential quality of a filmmaker is. Some say it is the filming, some say it is editing, and others say it is producing or directing.  I believe, on the other hand, it is the thinking that matters most to a filmmaker. Children nowadays can operate cameras and edit footage, but only professionals think it through:  they observe the world, think about life, people, and themself, then finally tell the story with their lens. There is no shortage of videos in this digital media world, but good thoughts are always in demand, no matter when.
